Caitlin and John Honaker- July 26, 2014

     Wedding season is upon us! My first wedding of the year is in 8 days, and I'm spending this calm before the storm catching up on some blogging and updating my site!

     I went to high school with Caitlin, and she was known in our hometown as "the girl who dressed up like Albus Dumbledore for the midnight premiere of Deathly Hallows Part 1," but of course, she's much more than that. I got to know her while she was in the show choir with my best friend, and it was clear to see that her beautiful voice was paired perfectly with a hilarious sense of humor. She's so much fun to be around, not only because of the laughter that will surely ensue, but also because she has a beautiful sense for the feelings of those around her. When you spend time with Caitlin, you can't help but feel uplifted. 

     Congratulations to Caitlin and John! I hope their first year together as a married couple has been filled with joy and love.

Rylie and Cody's Winter Engagement Session

     I get to shoot Rylie and Cody's wedding three weeks from today in Oakland, CA! It will be my first wedding of the year, and I'm SO excited! I was lucky enough to be hiding behind a Christmas tree when Cody proposed.      I took Rylie's high school senior pictures in 2013! She has an incredible family and an impeccable fashion sense. Basically, she's the coolest.

     She and Cody are adorable and hilarious together. Photographing them did not feel like work; it felt like playing in the snow with two of my friends that happen to be super in love. Stay tuned for their wedding images in a few weeks!

Cody's a bit of a goofball. And thank goodness for that.

Communal is where they had their first date! Rylie was having a hard time making a serious face, haha. :)
