Becca and Andrew's Rustic Chic Virginia Barn Wedding

Becca and Andrew's wedding was my first one of this year. I was coming off of a nice, long winter break and feeling nervous and out of my usual rhythm. The forecast was not looking great, and I'd never been to this out-of-state venue before- which meant that I would have to make on-the-spot decisions. Scary.

Pretty much as soon as I set foot on this beautiful farm, my fears melted away. Becca and Andrew did a first look (yay!) and so we were able to get all wedding party, formal family, and bride and groom portraits done before the rain came. Andrew got teary when he saw his lovely lady, and it made me cry too (which shows how sweet the moment was because I cry often and unabashedly, but not usually when I'm in the zone at work). By the way, he cried during the first look AND when Becca came down the aisle- proof that a first look doesn't make walking down the aisle any less special. This couple has been friends for so long, and the amount of love and comfort they feel when they're together was obvious all day long.

It turns out I never had to worry about making any on-the-spot decisions because Kim Newton Weddings did such an amazing job behind the scenes keeping everything running smoothly! If you need a wedding planner in the VA/DC area, hire her.
